Pearly's Famous Country Cooking has quickly garnered a reputation for its delightful Southern fare and welcoming atmosphere, located at 814 N Slappey Blvd in Albany, GA. Customers rave about the exceptional service and the inviting vibe. Wendy Graham highlights the outstanding customer service, while Hillard Cooper appreciates the flavor-packed dishes and the attentiveness of the staff, noting that every meal exceeded expectations. The restaurant showcases an array of breakfast biscuits, prominently featuring their Biscuit and Gravy ($2.49) and the savory Bacon and Egg Biscuit ($2.85). Mark Mark praises the authenticity of the Southern cuisine, particularly lauding the biscuits and gravy and the hash brown casserole, claiming it's the best he's ever had. However, there are mixed opinions regarding its authenticity, with Chet M suggesting that some dishes may lean towards pre-packaged ingredients. From the clean environment to the friendly demeanor of the staff—especially Ms. Betty Stewart, as noted by Sabrina Acree—Pearly's manages to create a comforting dining experience. It’s a spot where hearty portions and genuine Southern hospitality intertwine, making it a cherished spot for both first-timers and regulars alike.

Our first visit to Pearly was an excellent experience, and we’re already looking forward to returning! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish we tried was packed with flavor, and well-prepared. Whether it was perfectly cooked and exceeded our expectations. The service was just as impressive. The servers were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive, creating a warm and enjoyable dining experience. Their friendly attitude and professionalism truly enhanced our visit. Since this was our first time at Pearly, we weren’t sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised by both the quality of the food and the wonderful hospitality. Without a doubt, we’ll be coming back again soon!

Definitely authentic Southern cooking at its finest. Biscuits and gravy were on point, as well as the country ham biscuit. The hash brown casserole might be the best I've ever had.

I've lived here my whole life. I honestly think it's overrated. The food IS good, Don't get me wrong, but it's a Lot of canned or box made food. Its Not real country cooking...but again, it IS GOOD Food.

Forgotten diners of yesterday, was like stepping back in time when you walk inside. Fast, delicous and reasonably priced. Haven't had grits that good in years. Best biscuits in the South, hands down. Staff was friendly and knew all the locals. Will be back on my next time through Albany, best breakfast I had in 2024.

I talked to a local at my hotel who said this place is a good place to try because I was looking for local restaurants. I ordered a biscuits and gravy and egg, grits, and bacon bowl. I’m on the hunt for the best biscuits and gravy. I’m really impressed with these biscuits and gravy. Chucks of sausage, gravy season, does a a bit of floury taste, very subtle which is really good because it’s hard. The price was great for them. I have no complaints. So far, ranking high for me. The bowl is what you can make at home. Nothing special. I would come back. Not truck friendly. If you came early morning and grabbed it and went, you could, but that’s it. No parking for semi tractors. I had a rental, so I went. Uber eats or take a Lyft would be great.
